Legal Disclaimer

Effective May 11, 2026

Read this first. iPropTrack is a calendar and notification service. We are not a law firm, we do not provide legal advice, and we are not affiliated with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. The deadlines, fees, and status information shown on this site are estimates based on publicly available USPTO data and general USPTO rules. You are responsible for confirming every deadline directly with the USPTO and for paying every fee on time.

1. No Legal Advice

Nothing on iPropTrack — the website, the dashboard, the emails, the API responses, the chat messages, or any other communication from us — is legal advice. We do not practice law. We do not represent you. No attorney-client relationship is created by your use of this service or by any communication with our team.

Decisions about your intellectual property — including whether to respond to an office action, whether to pay a maintenance fee, whether to file a declaration, whether to abandon an application, or whether any particular legal strategy is appropriate — should be made with the help of a licensed attorney in the relevant jurisdiction. If you do not have one, you can find one through your state bar association or through the USPTO's patent practitioner search.

2. Not Affiliated with the USPTO

iPropTrack is an independent service. We are not endorsed by, sponsored by, partnered with, or otherwise affiliated with the United States Patent & Trademark Office or any other government agency. References to USPTO data, endpoints, classifications, statutes, or processes are for descriptive purposes only.

Official information about your filings is always available — and is authoritative — at uspto.gov, through Patent Center, and through the Trademark Status & Document Retrieval system (TSDR).

3. Accuracy of Data

We pull data from the USPTO Open Data Portal (ODP) and TSDR public APIs. We make a good-faith effort to mirror that data accurately and to sync weekly. However:

  • USPTO data can be delayed, incomplete, or temporarily inaccurate.
  • Our sync can fail for any number of reasons — outages, rate limits, parsing changes, network issues, or bugs.
  • Deadlines shown on iPropTrack are computed from base dates (filing date, registration date, mail date) using our understanding of USPTO rules. The actual deadline that applies to your filing may differ.
  • Maintenance-fee payment statusis not always reflected in ODP. A deadline we show as “upcoming” may already have been satisfied.

Before taking any action — paying a fee, filing a response, deciding to let a filing lapse — verify the deadline and the status directly with the USPTO and with your attorney.

4. No Liability for Missed Deadlines

To the maximum extent permitted by law, iPropTrack and its operators are not liable for any consequence of a missed deadline, an unpaid fee, a lapsed registration, an abandoned application, a missed office-action response, or any other action or inaction relating to your patents, trademarks, or other intellectual property — regardless of whether or not our service correctly identified, predicted, surfaced, or notified you about the relevant date.

This includes (without limitation) damages arising from lost registrations, lost royalties, lost license revenue, devaluation of intellectual property, missed enforcement opportunities, attorney's fees, USPTO petitions to revive, surcharge fees, or any other direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages.

You are solely responsible for tracking, confirming, and meeting every deadline relating to your filings. iPropTrack is a convenience — it is not a backstop.

5. No Warranties

iPropTrack is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties of any kind — express, implied, statutory, or otherwise — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or uninterrupted availability.

6. Recommendation

If your intellectual property matters to you, hire an attorney. A real one. Use iPropTrack as a calendar and a notification layer, not as a substitute for professional counsel and not as a substitute for your own careful attention to dates.

7. Changes to This Disclaimer

We may update this disclaimer from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. Continued use of iPropTrack after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated version.
